Frequently asked questions

What can remedial massage help with?

Anything and everything. Massage is complimentary to every health condition.

Is remedial massage good for me?

Yes. It creates a stimulation of local blood flow, it eases mental and emotional stress and your body will thank you for the tender loving care.

How often should you get a remedial massage?

Ideally every 4 - 6 weeks. More frequently if you have a physical job, are an athlete, train a lot, get stressed frequently, etc.

Does remedial massage hurt?

Depending on the sensitivity of your own tissues, there may be some discomfort associated with massage. It is advisable to feedback constantly to your therapist about what feels tolerable and for your own personal preferences. Some people love deep pressure, while others prefer a lighter touch so they can relax deeply. Communicate your preferences to your therapist.

How to prepare for your remedial massage?

Think about your intention for your massage, any areas you are seeking special attention on, and what sort of pressure you are desiring. Communicate this well to your therapist. Be prepared to disrobe and be hydrated for the best outcomes. Do not attend if you are feeling unwell, have a cold, or generally feel exhausted.

What to do after a remedial massage?

Rest, Drink more water and allow yourself time and space to simply do nothing.

Does NDIS cover remedial massage?

Yes, if it is recommended as part of your overall physiotherapy management plan. You will need to have been assessed by one of our team before booking massage services.
